Yet another for pay stream service popping up. Starting to feel like the early days of cellular where there were dozens of providers. Does it continue or do we finally reach a point of contracted consolidation?

Yep, they're doomed. It makes much more sense for Criterion to be one selling point of other services like Hulu.

The number of people willing to pay $8-10 a month just for old movies is not going to be high enough to support this, so like every cable channel they will either wander away from their stated mission (MTV = Music TV = plays no music, SyFy = wrestling and ghost hunters, etc.) or fail. And if they do become another me-too generic streaming service why pick them over Netflix?
