BSOD with HDMI on H67 mobo

Hi,

This issue is really bugging me at the minute. I have an ASUS P8H67-M Pro motherboard, with all the latest chipset and graphics drivers using the integrated Intel 3000 graphics that came with the 2500K, but whenever I connect the PC to the monitor (BenQ 2420HD) via HDMI it BSODs. This happens if I do a 'hot connect' (while the system is running) or even if I disconnect all the cables and turn both the monitor and the pc off and then connect the HDMI cable (it gets to the 'starting windows' message then bluescreens).

Currently, I connect the monitor via DVI, which works fine, but I would like to connect another identical monitor for a dual screen setup through HDMI (so I would have one connected through DVI and the other HDMI). The HDMI cable cannot be the issue because I use it to connect my Xbox 360 to the monitor and it works flawlessly, so I think its either something to do with the motherboard or something to do with Intels graphics drivers but I am unsure.

Even if it is not possible to connect them both through a digital connection with the integrated GPU, I would still like the HDMI issue resolved if possible.

Any thoughts?

Yes true. I dont suppose you know this question too while you are here. Basically, this motherboard is 'supposed' to support dual displays through a number of combinations (DVI + VGA, DVI + HDMI and HDMI + VGA). I have tried DVI + VGA for my two monitors and it works fine, but obviously the vga one looks a little less vibrant and sharp because of the VGA analogue signal. Ideally, I would like to connect them via DVI + HDMI but I cant try it yet because of this issue. However, I have had conflicting opinions about whether it will support such a setup, so I dont suppose you know it if will support dual digital connections simultaneously (DVI + HDMI)?
