hi guys. just wandering if you can help me.

i have a pc here i need to fix and heres the problems...

it was bsodding when booting (happened too quick couldnt read it).. so i tryed to pick windows on again.. when i put the disc in it said the hdd was basically empty and it might be damaged or something similar.

i formatted and tryed installing over it and when it was copying the files over it bsodded again.

i ran memtest and she passed

any ideas? bad hdd?

thanks guys

im leaning towards a bad hdd definitely.

download ultimate boot cd and try running like drive fitness test or one of the seatools tests (i think those are on there)

whats the bsod stop code?

Do you have a SATA RAID controller in use? What is the machine and what is the disk setup? What version of Windows?

A lot more information would be really helpful.
