I am getting a BSOD that says " an attempt was made to write to read-only memory"

The error code is 0x000000BE (0xFFFFF8800B40FFF8, 0x000000016F423900, 0xFFFFF880009A97B0, 0x000000000000000E)
I cannot get past the "Starting Windows" message in windows 7, when the computer attempts to load the little dots that come together into the windows logo i get the BSOD above.
my system specs are,
Processor: AMD Phenom X4
Memory: 6 gigs DDR2
Graphics: ATI Radeon 4850
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

My motherboard is and ASUS M4A785-M and the BIOS is completely up to date.

I was told that to fix my problem all I have to do is disable video shadowing but I don't know how to do that on my current BIOS menu.. if someone would tell me how to find Video Shadowing on my BIOS menu or how to otherwise fix my problem I would greatly appreciate it.. Thanks,
- Austin

The error code you're getting generally points to hardware. You may want to download memtest and check the ram. Is the ram on the qvl for your MB? Something else to try is using just on stick of ram til you get the OS installed. Video shadowing is usually off by default and isn't really related to your error code.

umm.. memtest will not help me at all because I cannot get logged into my computer at all ( I assume memtest is a program for the OS) and when I try any other combination of the ram besides what I have in it I cant even get a BIOS screen.. I was kinda assuming that was a problem and I forgot to mention it.

Download the bootable ISO, no OS necessary.

Edit: I don't see the video shadow setting for your motherboard.

Memtest runs before the OS loads. If you have tried to boot with one stick of ram and that one stick of ram was in the correct slot for that configuration according to your MB manual AND you've tried each of the other sticks of ram in that same slot with no joy THEN you need to either rma or otherwise procure different ram. I recommend getting some that's on the QVL for your MB.

I'm a little confused, first you say you can't install your OS but, now you're saying it won't even boot?

my ram is QVL with my MOBO I just have 2 sticks that went bad overnight... my computer was working fine yesterday and i shut it down.. then I was gonna start it up this morining and what do ya know? BSOD! lol so I worked on it for a while then posted the question on yahoo answers (piece of crap site if u ask me) then on here and i get reults. I have a total of 6 gigs of ram, 2 pairs, 1st pair is 2 1gb strips and the other pair is 2 2gb strips both ddr2 and so far the pair of 2gb strips power the computer fine together and I have yet to try either of the 1gb strips

and I didn't say anything about installing OS that i am aware of?? I had it installed all along just couldnt get past the Starting windows screen I talked about
