BSOD Issues Again

Finally got all the stuff below worked out minus the fans not turning off when I shut down/reset.

I had just opened AIM for the first time after using the computer for about 45 minutes and getting some stuff in order. I BSODed and when I went to debug the dump it was corrupted. I'm gonna try running some games right now to see if I get any BSODs there. What if it was the memory all along? :(

Mobo: ASUS M2N-E SLI
CPU: AMD X2 5600+
2 gigs RAM

Old stuff:
Just got my new motherboard installed and working properly (FINALLY!). Front panel USB works, sound works, everything seems to be properly running.

I wanted to test it out to see if the new one they sent me would blue screen or not so I went to go do some of the activities that I would normally get blue screened during and lo and behold two of my three hard drives are missing. The slave IDE and the SATA drive don't show up on bootup or in my computer.

On an unrelated note, I went to shut down the computer and it shut down but all of my fans kept running. I remember hearing about this before so I'll see if I can find any similar threads on this one, but the hard drive issue is more important at this point.

Edit:

Second edit: Seemed to shut off just fine last time. I'm on my mac for now, figure I'll re-check all the cables later tonight and see where that puts me.

Still not recognizing either of my hard drives. Any suggestions other than taking it apart and rebuilding the machine to make sure everything is properly connected?

A couple things -

If you haven't checked the power and sata cabling, that should be your
first order of business. Then I'd make sure that those drives didn't kick
the bucket during your mobo install.

Then try-

1- Enabling SATA and disabling RAID in your BIOS.
2- Checking control panel > computer management > disk management

From there, you may need to assign a drive letter to the disk in question.

Edit - If you're not seeing them at boot - forget #2

So I finally had the time to take apart my entire system and set it up again and still experience the same problems. I made sure ALL cables were connected properly on both my board and the drives themselves. At startup it shows my IDE slave drive but My Computer doesn't have it.

I found one of the hard drives in device manager as an unidentified device but it had the hard drive product number so that's how I knew what it was. I did a scan hardware thing and it showed up in my computer, but the SATA drive is still missing. There's another unidentified device so maybe that's it?

Edit: Fixed the issues. RAID was enabled for some stupid reason. Glad you told me to check there Bakery. Thanks for the help. Now I've gotta figure out the fan issue.
