I came home after leaving for a bit while my two machines were transferring a few files between eachother, my main machine converting a winamp playlist to .wav's.
and...i see....my old nemesis.
it had been a long time since we last faced off, and i believe it was a harsh outcome for myself.
Anyways, i got the BSOD on both machines actually, which was a tad odd. I rebooted both and my secondary machine was fine after that. But the first...was another story.
I was greeted with the message "DISK BOOT ERROR, REPLACE WITH SYSTEM DISK"
god...i dont like the sound of that.
I unplugged the power and ide cable to the drive and plugged them back in. I restarted again and now...the monitor wont turn on. It just stays on the amber led.
Great.
Tried plugging the main box into the secondary monitor...same thing
Tried swapping video cards.... no luck
gahd...
Any ideas? I really, really, really do not want to format...
any help appreciated, thanks gang!
