well...yes and no.
obviously the org has some trouble to work out in the name of PR because of their tolerance policy.
at the same time, this is like with the catholic church...you are in a uniform and a representative of that group. obviously, the entire group cant be blamed (as in they didnt make him do it) but they are responsible for him as a member. of course, we dont see that the higher ups are aware and are covering up...but it is still a truth that the group is affected, like it or not.

My son is a cub scout and I see the good things that scouting does for kids. Of course the disaffected misfits here will seize on anything to discredit any organization that threatens their world view.
