BSD video questions

i have isntalled a working bsd box and have xwindos running

but iwant to update new video drivers for it i have an ati radeon card

and have found drivers at dri.sourceforge.net and have uncompressed the drivers
but i cant run the install.sh file

is this do to being linux only?
i know the install.sh is a shell script but how do i run it in BSD the help file says use
./install.sh and i get a command not found

any help will be appreciated
