I recieved a letter from the BSA stating they will be auditing me...however it was addressed to my home address. I use my parents business address to recieve packages of stuff I buy off the internet because I live in a neighborhood where you wouldn't want packages left at the door. They had my parents business name to my home address... I called them up and asked them what was up and they said they got my address from a 3rd party. Basically they must have bought a bunch of addresses from this 3rd party company and gotten a mix up. I don't know how the auditing process works...anyone know? What would they do to a company? I cleared it up with them and told them that it was a residential address but am curious what they would do if it was a real business address. Do they come to your business and physically audit you? Has it really come down to this?

I'm thinking many of the hot dealers who put down fake business names to do survey's and things for free stuff might be getting this also at sometime. They said in the letter they were auditing all businesses in my specific area code.

The BSA has no "authority". You could tell them to kiss your ass if you wanted to. It's not like they can just walk into a business and start looking on computers. Just more scare tactic bs.
