BS initials after someones name?

So I'm working with this guy and he gives me his card. Lets just call him John Doe. Well Mr Doe has on his Card:

John Doe, B.S.
1234 Main ST
Etc...

So I'm trying to think up what in the heck could these initals stand for, and all I could come up with is Bachlor of Science cause hes in no organizations or anythign that i know of.
So whats up with this? Is it strategic to have the B.S. after your name or am i missing something that they might actually be standing for? I might have to start waving my B.S. around....

I've never seen anyone (seriously) put their undergrad initials after their name.

even people I know with doctorates will ordinarily only use the "PhD" letters on academic work.

Unless you work retail or fast food, it's not that impressive. If anything, it's proving to people that you don't have an advanced degree.

I'm not so sure it stands for Bachelor of Science. My friend gave me her card the other day... she's a registered nurse at a trauma center (does what Abby Lockhart did for E.R.) ... Her card:

First Last, RN, BS
Emergency Department

Did this guy happen to be in the medical field ? Just a shot in the dark... I can't imagine anyone putting BS next to their name for a 4-year degree anyone can get...

LOL. I thought only PhD, MD, MBA, and other doctoral or professional degrees put the degree initials after their names.
