No sled here on the far Wet Coast, it is currently 6C or 43F.

snowmobiles are referred to as sleds too... and they move just fine on pavement. I actually saw someone gun by my house and I was laughing my head off. I am pretty sure it was not legal. I live in the city, I have never seen snowmobile running on a major road before.

21F here and I am fixing to have to go outside in about thirty minutes. <shivers>

I once got made fun of by a bunch of northerners for using the word "fixing" as a substitute for "about".

That is all.

I once got made fun of by some fellow southerners from Mississippi for pronouncing "chest of drawers" as "chester drawers"(which is the way I had always heard my family say it while I was growing up). 😱

I don't have a car anymore but I used to have one with remote start. It was worth it's weight in gold on super cold days like this.

Meh, I ran outside into about 6 inches of snow in shorts, sandals, and winter coat with my 2nd set of keys to start my car. It really wasn't that bad, just don't be a wuss.

Where is Al Gore and his "Global Warming" BS when you don't need him.

They no longer call it "Global Warming", they now call it "Climate Change". That way they are covered no matter what actually occurs.

That or to try and stem these "It's cold, where's my global warming!" jokes that have been stale for over a decade now 😛

Global Warming or Climate Change is not about the whole world being equally warm. The general temp. might go high while certain parts of the world might experience the opposite. Strange it may sound but Global Warming might even trigger Global Freezing (like Ice Age.)

Just heard on the radio that local schools are starting to cancel classes for tomorrow; they're calling for possible windchills of -50F.

heh... he said 2nd pair of keys though assuming he locked it in there and kept his first pair to open it.

And closing school for the cold? Wow I never heard of that but frankly if its -50... I probably would keep my kid home too.
