browser settings????

Hi guys

When in a particular file library (avsim), if I click on Zipdive to read a text file, the file type comes up as 'Microsoft Picture It Document' and my browser says the file name is 'zipshow.php' and does not display it. I am sorry (pleased) to report that doesn't happen on other sites. Can somebody tell me how to correct this?

Thanks in anticipation

Frank

Try this:

Go to the location where that file is at, right click on it, in the contextual menu, it should say 'Open With...' click on that, 'Choose Program' and see if you can select the appropiate program that it should open it up with. There is a check mark also, 'Always open with'

Some of the wording might not be correct, but very close to it.

No such options were available. I am using XP home and the latest Internet explorer. I have seen the choices that you refer to but only when I am trying to open a file that is usually within an application and I can choose something like wordpad as a text editor for example.

Thanks anyway
