I am designing a web page and I want to make sure it works in different browsers. I can not install previous version of the browsers while I have the newer version installed. How can I figure out how it's going to appear?

give the url to this site and it parses through the sourcecode and gives you warnings about browser compatibility.. havent used it in a while but I think they used to have a pay-version that would show a screenshot of what it would look like in different browsers

Vmware is your friend 😉 I like to keep a copy of various OS's with various browsers for just this reason.

vmware is not an option for me on this machine. its too slow. any other suggestions?

Make a special hard drive for testing.
Install the browser that you wish to use and then wipe the drive for the next browser.
IF you use Ghost or the equivalent, it will take 5-10 minutes max to recreate the partition when you need need.

Create a clean OS install without any browser.
Make a master copy of the partition.
Install the first browser version.
Ghost it to a unique place (CD or file name)
Restore the clean master copy
Repeat steps with each browser that you wish to use for testing on.

When you want to test a given browser, just restore the relevant ghosted image.
