Brown paper bag or sack, damn it!

I was in AK in the gas station and the lady said, "will you like a sack" so im thinking, "what should i say"

I prefer "bag", not "brown paper bag".

Sack is used up here in IL, but I'm from FL and I'm used to bag.

Everytime I hear someone ask if I want a sack, I want to say "I've got your sack right here". Luckily I've been able to restrain myself.

I have never heard it in Illinois. Are you on the border of illinois where the farms are?

Back when I was in high school, I worked at Hollywood Video and I asked a customer if he wanted a "bag" to put his movies in.

He then corrected me, saying "Are you a yankee? We call 'em SACKS down 'ere boy."

Wierd.
I have lived in Texas my entire life and never heard a bag called a sack.
I wonder where he's from...?

The correct course of action there would have been to say "Oh, let me go get a sack then."

Then, go out back, sh|t in a paper bag and return it to with him sans movies. There's his fvcking sack.
