Great Deal. Only one problem, I heard the print catridge finishes off real fast and the replacement ones cost about $25.

Ya, imaging film for fax machines isn't cheap unless you can find them on clearance somewhere or pick them up at Sams Club or Costco.

:). Then keep buying the FAX machine. I got three, each cheaper than old one. $39.99, $29.99, this time $19.99. :p

Seems like really hot.....anyone knows if this machine gonna work in other countries? I don't even have a phone line here, but it would be a great gift to my parents...or relatives to replace older nonplain paper fax machine.

Finally!!! I've been waiting for a deal like this for a while. I missed out on the last one which was something like $30 AR and I've been scouring for a deal ever since.

Thanks a bunch carmann!

May be yes. But you'll void the warranty if it is used with 210/220V.

Do you have to get the same brand imaging film only ?
I couldn't see this brand in Costco (bay area)

I didn't mean to give the impression that Sams or Costco carried the film for this particular model. I meant if they carried it you could get it cheaper than at a reg store.

I don't know if they make generic imaging film but if they do, as long as it says it works with this machine it will be fine.

Now you got me thinking, I wonder what the difference is between the film for this machine as opposed to other machines. I mean, if the rolls for all fax machines are the same width I don't see why you wouldn't be able to buy some Panasonic film (or other brand) and re-roll it onto the Brother spindle. hmmm.....

So, for imaging film, the Brother site says that "PC-401" is a single, 150-page film roll, and "PC-402RF" is a twin-roll of the same thing. Searching on Pricewatch for "PC-401" without the quotation marks yields one generic place that sells the single roll for $11 plus nominal shipping, and $13.50 for the twin roll, PC-402RF equivalent. And you could also try your basic auction sites for not-needed sell-off kinda stuff.
