Nice deal because no rebates.

You might want to put the model number in your thread title--would be helpful.

I had a brother laser printer about eight years ago. It only cost half as much as an HP back then, but it jammed a lot. One day I cleared a jam by pulling paper out the front and bent the fuser bar. After I found out that it cost more to fix it than the purchace price I went Office Space on its @ss. YMMV

I have this printer and I like it. For my work, I print a lot of scanned documents, and my old HP inkjet would usually spend like 5 minutes per page. This Brother spits them out in a couple of seconds. Works great with both my Mac and my PC. I picked it over the cheap Samsung because of the way that the paper tray sits underneath it instead of sticking out the front. For the price, it's pretty awesome. Also sometimes you can find the networking model (HL-2070, has ethernet) for around $130 on sale.

I picked this printer up 6 months ago under a similar deal. It curls the paper something fierce, it is loud... but it is the cheapest laser printer that looks good. Perfect for someone who prints only several pages at a time... not a "workhorse" printer by any means.

I bought one of these on the staples deal for $80 last april or so. I does curl the paper but it lays flat after a time. BUT all these little printers do that, tiny drums, what I like about this one over the others is that its closed drawer for the paper...try the other brands and they are closed up, but put some paper in them and you have to leave the front of the printer open and it gets dusty as heck...like an hp inkjet with the 3/4 of the paper and front open. Not to noisy to me, but thats just me.
Does envelopes nicely...only thing is the software, ENGLISH selected and its english....in most places but some of the words in word printing setup is now, well, I think its german.

overall nice one for the price
and dito on what slashbinslashbash said....its fast, ok its no 4250 hp
