Brother impressed me today - Identified Pink Floyd - 6th grade

I'm sitting here in my room with Another Brick in the Wall playing, part 2, and my brother walks in so I pause it so that we can talk.

We talk and he starts to leave so I press play and as he's leaving, he stops at the door and asks me, "Is that Pink Floyd?"

My face: :Q

He just started 6th grade and already knows about Pink Floyd and could identify their song. Sure, not hard once you've heard it and know the stuff, but in 6th grade I had *no idea* about Pink Floyd other than having heard the name.

I'd like to end this by saying Pink Floyd rocks

Started on the LSD early, the little dude eh? I'm fairly certain many sixth graders could identify THAT song as being Floyd; as for other tunes, well, we call that progress.

I wish I had videotaped my daughter singing Folsom Prison when she was 3-4 years old. Funny to hear a little kid sing "I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die". Heh.

Ahhh, Pink Floyd. Good from teh age of 13 to about 19. Then it's on to better music. Unless you like to trip ....
