Anyways, I heard this place is considered the standard for business attire. Of course you can always find better looking designer clothing, but with less effort, you can just go to Brooks Brothers and pick an outfit and know that it's fit for any business occasion including your most important interviews, presentations etc.

No, that's Brookstone (similar to Sharper Image). Brooks Brothers is a men's clothing store...selling mainly dress/business attire.

It's fairly conservative stuff, but very nicely made. They also do free alterations with most stuff when you buy it. Certainly a good place to look for business clothes (I have a few of their suits).

The one in Gilroy, CA sells women's clothing to if I remember correctly.

I bought a leather jacket about 4-5 years ago there for a great price and it was around this time of year when people didn't want to buy warm clothes. I snatched it, put it in the closet and pulled it out in the winter! Good quality stuff.

I can confirm that they do have women's clothes (their Fifth Ave store is right down the street). I wouldn't call them fashionable though, more like timeless. I have Brooks Brothers suits that I bought nearly 10 years ago (using one of these types of coupons, I believe) that I can still wear and still look exactly the same as their current suit lines. That is what I would call timeless - you're never quite out of fashion, but you're never quite in either.

EDIT: I'm a guy though. (I didn't mention that.) I think the women's suits are similar though fashion-wise, e.g. the jacket and skirt cuts are all middle of the road, never too high or too low, so people are never too sure when the suit dates from.

They used to be owned by Marks & Spencer a whiile ago - but got sold. Dunno who owns it now.
