Quick question, I am also running Nicehash miner for my GPU, when I have the folding client running it uses both and reduces my hashrate... if I disable the GPU in the client the CPU usage also goes down to ~75% instead of maxxing 100%... is there something I'm doing wrong? (Besides not dedicating everything to Folding@home lol)

-edit- Accidentally confused the Folding@HOME with SETI, updated to be correct :)

And on that same question, I paused the GPU in Folding@HOME client, to let my Nicehash run... but now if I want the Folding@Home client to run the GPU, it's stuck on "Paused: Waiting for idle", and won't change no matter what I do? I even tried restarting the computer! Or do I just have to wait a looong time for it to start back up?

I know nothing about the mining world, but I suspect thats your problem.

I restarted the computer without the nicehash miner running, and the GPU just sits idle without the Folding@Home client trying to restart it :(

What's your Nvidia driver version? There were some that broke F@H.

Only two log files found, only thing I could see in one of them that could have something to do with it was:

Run the FAH control app, and click on the log tab.

From the F@H forum :
"INTERRUPTED happens when you intentionally PAUSE folding or when you make changes to parameters that alter how a FahCore operates. It also happens when the PAUSE function is invoked if you've got a slot set to fold only when idle."

The F@H control app also tells you the status, if it paused or what. And you can resume

Good to see you again JC, been missing you!

I think they know they are in for it, but being the underdog brings out the best in a team. So we'd best be careful. :) Takes a fair bit of nerve to challenge a TeAm during their peak output period, and also to be part of a "my little pony" team. Kudos to them!, looks like a good crew of dedicated, science minded individuals they have there! I am looking forward to advancing medical research with our new friends!

I should have quite a formidable fleet come the time of the race. A couple of high core count CPU's and a whopping amount of GPU power. :p Be interesting to see how this competition goes.

Winning is by no means assured, but it will be a fun (and house warming) event!

Edit: Except for @Kiska , sorry about our reversed seasons, mate!

As the day approaches, would a starting time of 0UTC on december first be good? or is some other start time more desirable?

We usually start the race at 18:00 UTC - but that is not, as we say in Sweden, "chiseled in stone" (we have all these more than 1000 years old rune stones, you know ...)

So whats the deal on this thing. After the last formula sprint I'm shutting down a day and cleaning all the systems. Need to know what to look toward on Dec 1, are we running this race Dec-Jan 31st or Jan-Feb 28th or Dec-Feb 28th and take on everyone, haha?
