Bronies

It's one thing to enjoy the show. I've seen a couple of episodes and the production quality is pretty good.

...but the people who obsess over it, collect the toys, dress up, go to conventions for it are completely ridiculous. Just watch the show and enjoy it. You aren't part of a special group, you're just being a pathetic idiot.
 
The other thing bronies do is they spam so many fucking pony images everywhere that, at a lot of online communities, posting ponies is grounds for banination.

Also there's a lot of mixing between bronies and furries. Not saying all bronies are furries but a lot of them are and that's pretty repulsive to most people.
 
Yeah, the wiki page for my little pony was update a while back after wired.com did an article on it. They even have their own wiki now too.

The best is when you read about guys in the army playing with my little pony's on their bases. It's like a meme that ended up hitting a sweet spot for some people's lives.

Hey, if it makes you happy, play with your ponies.

If something is good then it's good, theme be damned. The show is well made and that's all there is to it.

Hell I'd watch a Barbie show if it was well written and animated, but I sure as fuck wouldn't collect the retarded dolls like people are doing with My Little Pony.

actually all of the recent barbie movies are pretty good cgi and have awesome music to them. i have all of them for my kids and i enjoyed Princess and Pauper the best.

The show is Powderpuff Girls drawn like ponies with pony-related themes.

Which explains why even guys like My Little Pony - it's quirky, well-produced, and features jokes more likely to be picked up by adults and missed by youth (as well as youth-related jokes that adults may or may not find funny). I haven't watched the show but I've seen clips, and I could probably watch a whole episode. I just am not going out of my way to do so, but I'd be amused the entire time if I did.

The Powder Puff girls enjoyed a lot of success with the male audience during it's time on TV too. Pretty sure this show is even created by the same talent too.

However... men who obsess over it are pathetic and disturbed.
 
I've seen the show a couple times, and the only thing I like about it is that the animation is excellent.
 
Well, at least it's better than digging up a bunch of corpses and dressing them up in doll outfits.
 
at least they're using their time in a non destructive manner(other than their social life)... better than being out shooting up crack and killing people
