Patriots won't beat them. Steelers have a shot, but ultimately Roth won't be able to keep up. The Colts are and have been all year, the BEST team in the NFL.

Hmm... Did the Eagles just drop off the face of the earth?

The Eagles aren't beating any of the top teams without TO

Wow.. He should sit out Manning in the 4th quarter - what a slap in the face for Denver!

I don't think Indy will win the Superbowl - I still don't think Dungy has the ability to close.

Yeah they really should sit Peyton.......what's the point now of keeping him in? (other than to humiliate the Broncos even more....hehe)

He doesn't have to, he has Peyton Manning.

Oh, and even with TO the eagles were not going to make it to the big show. They nearly lost to DALLAS (my team :) ) when they had TO. To many close games, not dominant enough. Im really hoping the Packers take it too them.

I knew this wasn't going to be much of a game but I didn't think it would just be a repeat of last year's reaming.

Seriously, what team has the potential the Colts have? There is not an offense in the league that is capable of scoring at will, like the Colts do. In the clutch I'd rather have Manning over Roth any day of the week. The colts O-line is just as good as the Steelers, if not better. They have just as good a running game, its just been overshadowed by how great their passing game is. The Patriots are good, and have an experienced quarterback, but he isn't as good physically speaking as Manning. He doesn't have the tools at his disposal that Manning has either. (Clark, Wayne, James, Harrison, Stokely)

On defense NE is all banged up sure they got through it alright during the regular season, but you put them up against an explosive offense like IND and they will crumble. The Eagles haven't been crap all year. They play in the NFC, enough said. They've seriously slowed down the last couple weeks of the season and on top of that they lost their WR for the season.

Im sure you wouldn't be crazy enough to argue that the jets, rams or vikings are in the same league as Indy. That only leaves Green Bay. Although Green Bay definetly isn't as talented, they have the X factor in Brett Farve. Manning vs. Farve would be an amazing matchup and just because of Farves ability and will to win, I almost want to give the edge to Green Bay. With that man running their team they can beat anyone.

So who is more dominant then the Colts?

If it's blizzaed conditions at Foxboro next week the Pats will definately beat the Colts, if not I think the Colts will win...especially with that Nancyboy rule where the D Backs can't touch the receivers after 5 yards.

I hope so. I've been a fan for a while now. but they always seem to blow it in the playoffs.

Manning has played in the snow before, and he's played well. If its snowing both teams are forced to rely more upon the running game and I think James is just as good as Dillon.

The difference is that the Colts throw seam routes up the middle a lot. That means they don't have to cut and lose their footing. I still give the edge to the colts.

So when you said "The best in the NFL", you meant "the best if they were in the NFC"?
They lost to the Pats, Jacksonville, and Kansas City. We won't factor the Denver loss because obviously it meant nothing.
They beat Minnesota, San Diego and Green Bay marginally. There wasn't another challenge on their soft schedule, and they lost half of the real challenges that were put up to them.
I like the Colts. I have all year.
The best team in the NFL? New England and Pittsburgh have easily shown they are the better teams.
I'd concede to third best for argument's sake.

Well, I can't say I totally agree with the rule change, but it has always been illegal to bump and impede after five yards, they just made it more strictly enforced.

on another note, is this the end of Shanahan in Denver? obviously 2 super bowl wins used to merit you about 10 yrs after the last win, but lately, it seems more and more people just say, what have you done for me lately.

They lost to the pats in week 1. They are a different team now. Kansas City is a very good explosive team, they can beat anyone if they come to play. When they beat Minnesota it was early in Minny's schedule, when they were playing well. At this point though wins and losses don't matter, its whose playing better in the playoffs that matter.

If we could say NE can beat them simply cause they have before there would be no reason to have playoffs, but obviously thats not the case.

"They lost to the pats in week 1. They are a different team now".
I'll give you that. The Pats have continued to play at that higher level FROM week 1. Their only losses being to Pittsburgh who totally pwned them, and an unexplainable loss to Miami. They also beat teams with winning records along the way, and did it handily.

"Kansas City is a very good explosive team, they can beat anyone if they come to play".
Their 7-9 record sure doesn't back up that assertion.

"If we could say NE can beat them simply cause they have before there would be no reason to have playoffs, but obviously thats not the case".
I didn't say the Pats will beat them, but if I was betting I'd go with the Pats. I'd rather see Indy advance because I think they'll put up a better challenge when they end up in Pittsburgh. A win for Pittsburgh against Indy would remove any doubt about who the best team in the NFL was this year, because they are the only top-notch competition that hasn't been tested.

If Indy can win out in New England next week and the Steelers can handle the Jets, the Indy-Pittsburgh matchup would be awesome.
I still think that Indy is the third best team in the NFL right now. Beat the Pats and they go to #2. Beat Pittsburgh and they are clearly #1.
I don't think anything the NFC puts forth can touch either the Steelers, Pats or Indy.
I'd bet the farm that AFC comes out winning the Superbowl

how about the fact that Trent Green is the ONLY qb in the NFL to pass for more yards than Manning, how about having Priest Holmes or Tony Gonzalez on Offense.

no, the Chiefs are without question one of the NFLs most explosive offensive teams.

My young niece walked into the room while I was watching the game and she paused for a minute.

She then asked who was winning....the horses or the horseshoes?

I love how everybody counts out the Eagles. TO is not the sum total of the Eagles's offense. Don't underestimate them, they are an explosive team.
