broken monitor?????

my monitor's led goes out when i put it in 32bit color. Then it comes back on, with the 32 bit color switched. It's a compaq mv520, maybe someone could tell me where I could find out what that means, because it's consistent, so maybe there is something on the users manual, which I don't have, about the problem?!?!?

statistics show that when most people see a "1" under reply's they will actually look at the thread

Could simply be that the LED goes out because the monitor is getting no signal during the time it takes for the video adapter to switch over to 32 bit.

That's pretty common behavior, some monitors/video cards do a quicker switch than others, so maybe it's just more noticeable on your combo.

yeah, but it doesn't do it all the time, just like 60% of the time, if it were all the time, I would make it out to be "normal" but since it's not completely constant, I don't know what to make of it?!?!
