I ran across an article of niche distros. The first(and most interesting) was DVL, or Damn Vulnerable Linux. It's full of misconfigured/outdated packages, and is designed as an instructional distribution. That might be interesting to some of you studying Linux admin. It's brand new, so there's no documentation, and their site doesn't exist yet, but you may be able to poke around, and see what it's about. I haven't checked it out, and I'm not sure I'd know what I was doing anyway :^D
