Broken Laptop Floppy: What to do?

"!§$!"§ Floppy!
My floppy drive for my Laptop broke down (or better apart) today and now I'm looking into options what to do....
It was one of these swappable drives so I could exchange it with my DVD-Drive.
Now a laptop without a floppy drive isn't exactly ideal (at least if it doesn't have an CD-RW).

Does anyone here know if Laptop floppys are generic? Can I buy a brand-x laptop floppy drive and it will fit in the hot-swap bay-mountaing-thingy?
The bare drive measures 3.5433x4.7244 x0.3937 inch / 9,5x12,6x1,3 mm
The drive is mounted in this slot-thingy which I can put into and pull out of the hot-swap bay...
Will any Laptop floppy drive fit into this?

PS: I will pos some pics tomorrow...
