ROFL! um if when you say "bad camera design" you mean that CF cards suck, then I would have to disagree. Canon cameras don't support SD cards no matter where you put it, CF cards are better because they're cheaper per MB and write speeds are dependant on the cards them selves instead of the camera. I wish everything used CF cards or at least they made a SD to CF card conversion for the sony PSP *sighs*.

Canon does use SD cards buddy, and CF. Prices for CF and SD are pretty much dead even.

You think all sony cameras are bad?

No, the F717 and F828 are sweet for starters.. but in that range, Canon is superior.

And I prefer SD nowadays. Smaller, sturdier, cheap, and interoperable with more devices (my PDA uses SD, for example)

Ill disagree, the 828 isn't very good at all though I consider it another one of Sony's "flops"...the Pro 1 beats it easily, but the 717 gives most of the Gs a run for their money....and then some.

IMO, F717 > G3, G4, G5 and I even like it better than the G6 but the picture quality cant match the G6.

Also the S85 is one of the best 4mp cameras ever made even up til now. I would even prefer the V1 over any of the G series. IMO the V3 > G6. The problem with Sony is that they will have some really awsome cameras and then some of their cameras are just as bad as kodak or HPs. The nice thing about Canon...you really can't go wrong. Up and down the board, Canons are solid, good quality cameras.

SD to CF conversion for the Sony PSP? but the psp doesn't even use SD it uses pro duo and they don't even have a mainstream MS Pro Duo to MS Pro that will fit* the PSP, i have sene one for sale in europe but it's bulky and looks homemade.

i also agree with CheapArse, with Sony digital cameras it really is a hit or miss with them. Boh on the lower end and higher end lines. While canon hits the mark at least in the range of where they wanted to be with a particular line. However their higher end models seem to do better than their lower end ones, they seem to be plagued with either great features/images yet bad/bulky design, or great design but flaws their less expensive cameras/older models don't have. Of course i am referring to the SD line where they hit the mark witht he design, small, clean, got rid of old rubber port protectors, but lower qualities pics compared to other models.
