Broke a chair at work today

The day has finally come. You watch those movies of fat people breaking metal chairs. Well today I was sitting in a chair at work, and down she goes, the front legs gave out and went. I fell to the floor smoothly, and only 2 people saw me go down. Suprisingly no one laughed, even though I started to crack up myself.

GG 🙁

Well at least it didn't explode. Did you have a McDonald's fried chicken sandwich for breakfast?

Don't feel too badly, OP; I've broken two at work. The normal, 5-leg office chairs with wheels. I sat down and the front two legs just snapped clean off right in the middle. This has happened twice. I'm only 230 pounds for crying out loud. 😕 Oh, and 6'1" before anyone asks. 😛

Well these chairs are the school student ones, probably 30-40 years old. 4 metal legs, and plastic seat/back rest. It was fuckin hilarious though, I wish someone recorded me going down lol. I would of had a heart attack watching that over and over again.

Fat Ass!

(I'm 6-1" and 270+) 😀

At least you were spared the embarassment of having the entire office see it...

I've broken a chair before, but it was my sister's dining room chair. I was pushing it back to get up and the legs all broke in opposite directions. I also broke their toilet seat by leaning all of my weight on one side to really get in there with some elbow grease.

Now say you hurt your neck, your work should have provided you with chairs made for your weight, even though it shouldn't have broke.

heh-heh...work-comp claim FTW!

I feel your pain, except I broke a metal chair. I bent the metal on the bottom from leaning back so much that the metal broke.

I got to see a friend of mine lean back and break my computer chair.

Who knows, if he had not done it, then i probably would have shortly after.
