Brockmire (TV show on IFC)

New TV show on IFC starring Hank Azaria and Amanda Peet
Watched the premier episosde online (airs tomorrow night) and thought it was awesome.

Full disclosure, I'm a baseball fan. Love Simpsons (therefore Azaria) and always had a thing for Peet so I may be biased. There was one scene that had my damned near crying with laughter.

This show is so freakin' good. For those turned off by the premise of it revolving around baseball, it has about as much to do with baseball as I Dream of Jeannie had to do with NASA.

I've been way behind on TV and it's taken me this long to get around to trying Brockmire. Two thumbs up.

1) Like OP I'm an Azaria fan and have always had a thing for Amanda Peet. And they have great chemisty together here.
2) Even without that admitted bias the show is really funny.
3) This show is about baseball like The League was about football. It's just a setting. Even if you dislike baseball don't let that stop you. Heck, you might like the show more because you dislike baseball.
4) I bet Homerboy was referring to the sex scene Brockmire was calling in episode two.

If you like your comedy dark and dirty, you should give this a try.
