My onboard Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5751 Gigabit Ethernet Controller isnt working what should i do?

I installed the drivers that i got from shuttle but still doesnt work. The newest drivers from there site i dont know how to install. I would like it to work so i wouldnt have to use a pci network card that isnt as fast and it might be the problem of my bf2 lag.

edit: just installed new drivers still doesnt doesnt work bbl in about 1 hour cs time

bf2 lag would not be caused by not using a gigabit connection

If you are just connecting to a 10/100 switch or router, having the gigabit connection is pointless. It does not speed up your internet at all.

Lag in intensive FPS games can be caused by lots of things. Not just a faulty network connection.

1. Install the appropriate drivers since Broadcom chips don't initialize until the drivers are installed.
2. List your complete system specs.

1 8.27.1.0 is the version of my driver i got it from the site its like the newest.
2. click My Computer

Its probably not why I am laggin i am guessing just because its the demo but its a hardcore lag like 20sec standing still freezed and i dont use wireless.

Do you get any error message when installing the driver or does it appear to install? Is the nic enabled in the bios? Get an IP address?

We're trying to help you but you won't help us at all. Don't plead for help if you aren't willing to help us help YOU.

1. Type your system specifications (all of the parts) in a new post for us. We can't see your specs by clicking on My Computer.
2. To find an IP address run the command prompt and type ipconfig.

169 is the windows default for not having an IP address. Does the adapter appear to be installed in device manager?

If you have restarted and it still will not get a correct IP address, the adapter is most like defective if you have the correct driver installed. It commonly happends with onboard nics. If you feel it's worth the hassle of shipping it back to get replaced, then that is what you should do. Otherwise a pci nic will work great.

I cant ship it back because than I wont have a computer for along time. You sure its a hardware problem?

Dude, a network card is $10. In other words, it's not worth the hassle of shipping it back. I am not sure what kind of problem it is but it seems hardware related.

It can attempt to send all it wants but it won't work because it is defective thus the send numbers displayed.
