Have you tried playing TF2 in 720P? Does it play more fluid?

I can play any 720p content on my Eee PC if I use the CoreAVC decoder (no decoder card), so I'd imagine this broadcom chip could do it.

When you're playing content on MPC-HC, it'll say if it's using DXVA acceleration in the bottom left corner (says "DXVA"). You have to be sure to disable any other filters outside of MPC-HC internal DXVA filter (like FFDshow).

Frostedflakes, can you use any enhancements (sharpening, deinterlacing etc) and still have smooth playback?

Isn't that post-processing handled by the CPU? I could try it out though, just let me know what I need to change in MPC-HC to enable these enhancements.

If you're using a renderer that supports shaders you can toggle them by right clicking what you're playing, go to shaders and enable which one you want. If you want multiple ones you select "Combine shaders"
