broadcasting FM radio from home ???

Is there a kit or small transmitter that would allow me to broadcast FM radio from the house?
Hook it into my pc and play my mp3's locally, I think there used to be a 5 watt limit or something like that many years ago.
It should be good enough to listen to for a few blocks.

ive been intrested in this lately as well.

unfortunately in canada the limit is 100mW (~400ft good conditions.. lol)

i think it is low in the US too.. <1W.

A friend of mine used to do that. He had a small transmitter that unfortunately only covered the downtown area. That was okay, though 'cause we lived downtown at the time, and it was great music.

ok, it appears the FCC limit is 250uV @ 3yards from the antenna. antenna has a max height of 10ft. this is close to 100mW. I'll try to find a link from the horse's mouth though.
