Don't know how hot this is, but I gotta post something for my first deal. Outpost has this USR Router for $49.95. Don't know how good this one is but I hate rebates and for less than $50 I couldn't pass it up.

Let the flaming begin.

How dare you think of posting... You should be flamed to death, but seriously this is a good deal... Just messin with you. These have been offered by no names at this price, but this is the first name brand I've seen at this price without a rebate. You just have to be sure to load in the newest flash updates before you put a network on it ( I say that as general advice, I have never actually used this specific router).

The SMC that I have with the newest firmware supports packet filtering..I got it for 50, although after a 50 dollar rebate. It's an awesome router, I use it, and would recommend it highly...like I said the new firmware adds packet filtering support also! (I have the SMC 7004BR I believe)

Update: Oh yeah, I forgot that the SMC also has a print server and a built on com port for you can hook up an external modem for it to connect in case the broadband goes down. The only thing I don;t like..is the no logging of everything that happens (only shows you like the last 30-40) as far as access wise, and also no telnet/ssh access.

seemed pretty good to me, $62.08 with tax and 2nd day shipping. Why do all the good stores have to have tax for californians! :(

Nice first deal BTW! Anyone got ant review/experience for this particular router? Several people mentioned SMC routers, are they the made by the same company or very similar products?

edit: sorry i got off my lazy butt and clicked the link for the review posted earlier, it was indeed for a US robotics router.

Hmm, maybe it's because all the good stores are located in California? And you gotta be taxed to pay for all that water your have to bring from everyone else since you don't have any yourselves?

I called, outpost is back ordered and the rep said it would be mid April before I saw one.

I went to Fry's B&M and they said they don't honor the website's prices.

I said that BB, OD, OM and Staples do. He said that they don't.

Bummer
