The general speculation on Broadbandreports forum was that they were using wireless transmissions in the pipe, with the pipe serving as an insulator. What noone can seem to figure out is how they plan to solve the potential multipath problems. I suspect this'll go the way of BPL (power lines) and Stratellites.
