DirecPC seems to pretty good. I have a friend who got it, and the package comes with everything you need. It's the satellite internet, could have high pings, so it won't be that great for games, but great for fast web surfing!! My friend gets a good 200KB/s download speed.

check out Sprint Broadband. from what i understand it's a wireless solution, you setup a transmitter/receiver satellite on your roof aimed at their station, and you can get up to 1.5mbps. also it's around the same price as regular broadband, and has a higher upload speed then DSL. i'm not sure the exact pricing, you may need a deposit or rental on the satellite, but it's another option to consider.

Cant the cable company just boost the power in your cable line for you to use cable modem? @Home over here can do that if your line is too weak...

If all else fails get IDSL instead of ISDN, its cheaper and faster (144vs128)

I had looked into satelite, but the rate isnt very good and you have to upload with a modem in some cases, and its kind of expensive for my budget, i wanted to stay under 75 a month.
