I have been running Norton Internet Security with out problems for about four months useing dialup and modem. I just changed to Cable broadband this weekend . Now by Norton update says " Live update could not connect to your Internet Service Provider. Verify your dial-up information is correct." I can't find where you make the change. The help files say to go to options on dial up options but I can't locate it. I even tried to reload twice with no change. I also went to the Norton firewall section-Network section and ran the wizard but got nothing.
Any ideas???

When you run liveup date, there should be a button to the right to that says: " configure ". Use this to set your new internet connections.

1) What OS?
2) In the control panel you should have an LU icon, you can configure settings there (probably should just select 'use browser settings')

I'll subscribe the thread so I can make sure you get it going.

I am running XP home. The ISP is InsightBB cable. I have been looking in all the help files and have found nothing. I am about ready to format and start over. There has to be something telling NIS that it shuld run Live update through a modem thats no longer in the machine.

Did you read my response, did you run the LiveUpdate control panel applet?

After my last reload and manual update from the website I found the LU icon. I changed to maunual and got the error that it could not find my ISP. May have to manually set up the connection, when I figure out how to do that. None of the express modes will do anything since no ISP shows up on Internet connections Tab of IE Tools.
Thanks for your help. I will keep trying. If something is suppose to work I dont give up till it does or I know why.

In the LU configuration on the FTP and HTTP tab select 'I want to use my Internet Options FTP/HTTP settings'. On the ISP tab select 'Internet Options in Control Panel'. Is this how yours are currently set?
