My g/f and I have been trying to figure it out...anyone know?

Update to include context:

People saying:

What's up Bro? vs. What's up Bra? We've heard both.

wtf are you talking about you idiot?

If you don't understand, please be respectable and just point it out. No need to call people an idiot because you don't understand what they are talking about.

I think when people call others bro or bra, which one is right/correct?

if that is the case then bra is just plain retarded, bro is better, barely, but it is better.

Only time I've ever heard Bra used to mean Bro was in a roller blading movie who's name I can't remember off hand. Otherwise it usually means a womans undergarment designed to frustrate men wanting to get around the bases...

no difference at all, both represent "brother"

So, does that mean that it's based on the region of which people say?

it's just a different way of saying it. they do it down here in arkansas "bra" sounds like something a cali surfer dude would say.

That is what my thoughts were:

Bro = more ghetto'ish/city style
Bra = california style

AIRBORNE is the movie.

Seth Green was in it.

[stoner voice] "That movie rocked, Bra" [/stoner voice]

has everyone of you been sleeping thru the mid-nineties. heck, just open up Fox in the evening or TBS during Primetime. You'll know what a bro and a bra is.

"What's up bro?" - implies the questioner is a relatively well adjusted young person talking to his friend.

"What's up bra?" - implies the questioner is a complete fvckwit.

It may matter where you live. But I do not think it matters at all.
