Britney wants you to snooze with her

Repost or not, I can't really hear any significant words in the backwards playback. Maybe I should turn my satan-i-meter up?

Yes, yes you should. Actually all of those are pretty tough to hear, except Another One Bites The Dust and the Pink Floyd one.

The Pink Floyd one obviously...The Queen was a bit of a stretech...

The Led Zeppelin in its entirety was the best though, except I don't get the "There was a little toolshed where he made us suffer"

I find the Stairway to Heaven one hilarious. 🙂 "there was a little toolshed where he made us suffer...."

I love listening to that verse in normal play now that I've heard the supposed "satanic message." It seems a whole lot cooler about a bustle in my hedgerow when I know it's a satanic bustle. Anyone have the whole song backwards? I hear the whole thing is a message.

That is a bunch of crap. The only song with any distiguishable backward lyrics is the Pink Floyd song and that's because they intentionally put reverse lyrics in there and guess what? They sound like mumbo jumbo played forward...duh. As for the rest of those, they sound terribly altered.

I've actually played that backwards on a turntable. The rest of it is B.S.

It's not. I flipped the entire song many years ago and listened to it 20 times but I didn't hear anything other than garbled reversed words. Still sounded cool though. I actually had a big debate with a friend over this back in the day questioning the possibility of the reversed message being authentic. The members of the band were staying in a supposed haunted house when they wrote the song, it's been a while since I've done any research on it, but apparently the house had a creepy toolshed. So my theory was that the message was authentic but they didn't mean to create it, they were "inspired" by certain demonic forces. (Hey cut me some slack I was like 14).

Dude, I'm 16 and I've only listened to Zeppelin since I was like 13. At 14, to not only be listening but also be formulating theories about the "hidden messages" is pretty damn sweet. I still have yet to hear the whole song backwards.

my high school civics teacher brought in a record player and the Led Zepplin song one day and played it for us.

Looking back, all I can wonder is WTF did that have to do with civics class

The only one that appears to be intentional was the Pink Floyd one. But all of them do sound like what it shows for lyrics. Sure some are a bit of a stretch, but others really do sound like it. If you believe they are altered files go and listen to it in reverse in sound recorder. I have done it before for a couple of them (Stairway to Heaven for one) and just did it for My Name Is and it really does sound like that.
