With her attention-grabbing Star interview, Spears tried to lay to rest rumors of her hard-partying and adoption of wild ways. Just a couple of drinks, she said, and "I'm good to go...I can't drink strong drinks." As far as drugs, her answer was worthy of a politician. "I was curious at one point. But I'm way too focused to let anything stop me. Was it a mistake? Yes." (What does that mean? Aruguably, it's a statement that could cover anything from Bill Clinton not-inhaling territory to down and dirty Robert Downey)."

Think of it this way... you're her... but you want to have sex and smoke like a typical 21-year old. But then they catch you... and you still want to hold your "idol" status so as to not kill your career. What would you do? She has managers and publicists who helped her mold this image - who said it was just her ?

I think you guys are too hard on her... she's friggin' 21... let her have a life. It's the media who blows it all up and you guys form the opinion based on that alone.
