heh...this reminds me of a long story...and it turns out I'm going to tell it...

...hold on, here comes my claim to fame.
So I'm in Razoo's-- this club in the French Quarter. Me and my friends are having a good time, maybe a bit more than a good time...we're all pretty much blitzed. So we go into the courtyard to relax, and who's there but Britney Spears and the most part of N'Sync. Turns out they had a crapcert(err...I mean concert) that night in New Orleans. So we're sitting there, and she's downing drinks left and right...keep in mind this is a 21+ club and she was what, 17, two years ago?
I don't know about other bars around the world, but in New Orleans, alot of them have shots in test tubes in this rack of oh...about 36 tubes? A couple of weeks before this, I was hanging out with the owner of a local bar, and he bought all of us a rack of shots...the girl even let him keep the rack (woohoo 😛) after he bought all the shots...man was that great...he even got my friend's 70+ year old aunt to take a couple with us (they were fruity Bacardi + mixer drinks...nothing too strong). So, back at Razoo's, I'm thinking...how cool would it be if I had this shot girl send a whole rack of shots Britney's way. Like I said, I was thinking waaay drunkenly. So I go to the bar to have them send the rack to her...and I realize I have like $20 left. So I go to the ATM and try to get some cash...no go, the machine's dead.
So I stumble around Bourbon Street trying to find a working ATM...every machine I come across is not working. It was like the great New Orleans ATM outage of 98 (or was it 99...my memory's a little fuzzy 😉).
I go back to the bar brokenhearted, and realize I still have my credit cards. I try not to use my credit cards when I've been drinking (for fear of outrageous expenditures), but I'm thinking...when will I get a chance like this again??? So, I plop down $50 for the tray, and walk to the courtyard with the shot girl. I get back there, and my friends tell me that Britney split 15 minutes ago...crap...now I'm stuck with a rack of shots. So, of course me and my buddies take one. We realize they're not the nice tame fruity Bacardi shots we had before...they're Goldschlager, and Jaegermeister, and Peppermint Schnapps, and Aftershock! Blech! Way too much alcohol for the 4 of use to consume! So, basically, we took a couple more of the shots each, gave the rest away to the shot girls and other girls around the club (who took the shots quickly and ran away from our drunken slovenly asses), and proceeded to stumble our way back to my friend's apartment down the street...the hangover the next day was the best, especially since I got to go with one of my friends to pick up his car from the caraudio place after he got his system installed...and of course he had to test it out. Lemme tell you this...splitting headache + nausea from a long night of drinking + bass-heavy system does NOT equal a good time!
My point? Well, there isn't one really. But have you ever had the chance to buy Britney Spears shots? 🙂 🙂 I didn't think so! 😉
