Good. While I don't find the word "prick" to be that offensive, we already have enough stupid people in this country...we don't need to be importing more.

When I was a Ladd A prick meant well dressed man in the white house. LOL!

You obviously did not read the link...

"The individual sent an email to the White House full of abusive and threatening language.

But whats new, huh?? The key words being threatening language.
No you cannot threaten the POTUS!!

Ya, kid says he doesn't remember much, but thinks he called Obama a prick. I suspect he said a hell of a lot more than that.

These two nailed it. If what he said was indeed threatening at all...uh...yea, of course this is going to happen. You don't threaten the President of the United States with no ramifications.

Of course, it should be easy to verify what happened:

Very harsh if he just called him a prick.

However I suspect the email included threats. If that's the case, then fair enough. Although one would think sending threats would be illegal and thus the UK should arrest him. Hmmm.

This POTUS and every other receive thousands of pieces of correspondence (snail and electronic) per day. How many times PER DAY do you think a POTUS gets called a bad name in said correspondence? 10x per day? 50? In sum, there isn't a chance in HELL this guy was banned from the U.S. JUST for calling Obama a "prick."

And BTW, I seriously doubt the guy doesn't remember what he wrote. It's a typical excuse when you do something foolish while under the influence but not very believable.

Come on, you're pretty slow if you think this guy was banned for just calling the POTUS a prick. He probably fired off all sorts of things, a good guess being a threat or two or three and who knows what else.

"It was silly - the sort of thing you do when you're a teenager and have had a few."

A sad admission if I ever saw one. This kid probably been a drunk since 6th grade.

Agree. You cannot threaten the president. Hell, I'm pretty sure threat of any public official is taken very seriously. The whole "you can't come into the US" was probably all they could really do in this case.

If he wants to extend his 15 minutes of fame he should fly to Mexico and cross the border and show up at the White House.

Interesting... I sent an email to Bush when he was in office from the domain imaterrorist.com(an old email addy you could get through tshirt hell) because I lost a bet. Never heard anything about it, but I also didn't send an email ripping on the guy either.

Just curious, have you tried to get on an airplane since then?

The Sun is a tabloid newspaper.
Any other reliable source?

Joanne Ferreira, of the US Department of Homeland Security, said there are about 60 reasons a person can be barred.
I'm more interested in what those reasons are than anything else.
