Thank you for explaining it to me, what i read from the other poster was WE bastardised it.

But as observed by the rest of the world through the ages everything gets messed up from its original spelling, but the rest of the world doesnt blame the USA for changing it do they.

wait, the other poster as in me? 😛 I was just semi-joking how english back then bastardised it. it was probably more likely so the locals of Britian could become christian. Not the local's fault that english became such an influential force in language today.

enough of the ranting and sorry just got my back up..

sitcoms

Blackadder - funny
Mr Bean - if you like non talking stuff

Once they talk, I really can't avoid the arrogance in their accent and their lousy pronounciations.

OMGLOL, you so don't want to go there with arrogance and pronunciations

hehe, my original statement came off as non-sarcastic as i wanted. as a joke, me and my friends always say it's arrogant. But holy damn..

hands down, anyone can agree w/ me on this:
if you hear Kate Bekinsale or Elizabeth Hurley talk in thier natural accent...it's an automatic splurge.

and to the OP

donno, I've always enjoyed the Monty Python episodes on DVD as well. My friend boughtthe whole set, and we just sat there and watched it overnight. It's just silly humor.

keeping up appearences - its f'ing great

only fools and horses

vicar of dibley

red dwarf

faulty towers

the Office

porridge

Open All Hours - this is just amazing, ronnie barker and david jason, its just great.

It's old, but Fawlty Towers is the funniest thing ever.

So true!@!@

I showed them to my wife who after seeing the last one asked me to get more. I had to tell her they only did 2 years and a season over there is very small. My wife is also very picky but loved this show as I do. Its a must see!

Benny Hill

Hell, yeah! Benny Hill back when I was a kid was the most outrageous suggestive comedy with a light pseudo porn I ever saw. Today it is tame but it was awesome back then. Very funny and no nudity just highly suggestive. Hilarious.

Another vote for Peep Show, nicely messed up

x 1000

mark and jeremy are amazing

They do the "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" ads for the UK. They also made a film recently, looks like a psis-take of 'The Prestige'.

New season of Peep Show coming soon FTW

British TV is horrible.

no its not

There's a more modern one called My Family (I think) that is pretty good.

Tons of older ones that are great though. Father Ted, Monty Python and Benny Hill (not really sitcoms though), Fawlty Towers, Black Adder, and there's one in a dept. store but I can't remember what its called.

as long as there's little or no talking, it's great (mr bean, benny hill). Once they talk, I really can't avoid the arrogance in their accent and their lousy pronounciations. that's what kills it for me.
