You do realize that he has stated he is opposed to Islam because of their record on women's rights?
So... you're upset that I didn't include "hypocritical" in the list?

Islam had gotten pretty harmless until Russia, the US, and others decided to bomb the shit out of them for their resources.
The United States created radical islam with decades of awful foreign policy.
In his 1998 fatwa entitled, "Jihad Against Jews and Crusaders"[20] bin Laden identified three grievances against the US:
First, for over seven years the United States has been occupying the lands of Islam in the holiest of places, the Arabian Peninsula, plundering its riches, dictating to its rulers, humiliating its people, terrorizing its neighbors, and turning its bases in the Peninsula into a spearhead through which to fight the neighboring Muslim peoples.
If some people have in the past argued about the fact of the occupation, all the people of the Peninsula have now acknowledged it. The best proof of this is the Americans' continuing aggression against the Iraqi people using the Peninsula as a staging post, even though all its rulers are against their territories being used to that end, but they are helpless.
Second, despite the great devastation inflicted on the Iraqi people by the crusader-Zionist alliance, and despite the huge number of those killed, which has exceeded 1 million... despite all this, the Americans are once against trying to repeat the horrific massacres, as though they are not content with the protracted blockade imposed after the ferocious war or the fragmentation and devastation.
So here they come to annihilate what is left of this people and to humiliate their Muslim neighbors.
Third, if the Americans' aims behind these wars are religious and economic, the aim is also to serve the Jews' petty state and divert attention from its occupation of Jerusalem and murder of Muslims there. The best proof of this is their eagerness to destroy Iraq, the strongest neighboring Arab state, and their endeavor to fragment all the states of the region such as Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Sudan into paper statelets and through their disunion and weakness to guarantee Israel's survival and the continuation of the brutal crusade occupation of the Peninsula.

We do not want to revisit the horrors of our past, which regrettably, much of the world continues to suffer.
I for one love what western civilization became among the horrors of human history. Much of it our own history, but something we crawled and fought our way beyond. We've removed ourselves from such crimes as we committed in the past, as we are now present in Judeo-Christian law with articles of Constitution and Bills of Rights to hold our people accountable for their actions. To foster a kind of civilization that maybe our future selves can look back upon and be proud of.
Yet western civilization is not a permanent thing. It is not immortal nor immovable. It is simply an idea, an ideology held in the heads of our people and taught for our young to pass on to the next generation. The society we have worked for centuries to build is fragile to maintain. Nothing continues its existence except the people who believe in it. A single generation of changed minds is all it would take to erase everything we have ever fought for.
The human threat to western civilization is not a battle of race or gender or skin color. It is a battle of creed, of minds. It is then understandable why we concern ourselves with the assimilation of those on our land, who we grant the power to shape our laws and define our future. We want to continue to move forward with human rights and not backwards from whence we came.
We do not want to revisit the horrors of our past, which regrettably, much of the world continues to suffer.
For the most part though, it seems that a lot of right wingers want to move the US backwards.
But then I too see something like Obama's Inauguration, and it gives me hope
That makes me a racist, genocidal klansman apparently. Regardless of whether it's true scientifically.
They just dont want to go back to the 7th century
Im not sure their is a politcal category for me lol. Typically im socially liberal and fiscally converative. I usually fall back to libertarian but i made a post and eveyone said i was a liberal. So..who knows lol
Well no..
But right wingers don't seem to be able to predict what their actions will lead to.
And can't put together the events that led to today
You want to only turn back the clock to 1950, but will more then likely end up somewhere in the 7th century
Its the radicals like the ones in the video that want to go back to the 7th century though, They want women to be treated as chattel, does that not bother you
It bothers me, but it also bothers me that you do not want these muslin / arab women to have a choice to move to a country where they have the freedom to not live like that. It seems you're okay with it as long as it only happens there and we turn a blind eye to it.
They can come to the country as long as they integrate and dont try any of that BS and obey the Constitution.
It's kind of sad how the Muslim world has gotten worse over the past 50 years. Back in the 1960s secular Arab nationalism was the big thing. It had plenty of problems but it was a heck of a lot better than militant Islam.
The last 50 years is nothing. Its an absolute travesty what happened to the Muslim world 600ish years ago. Back then the Muslim world, especially Baghdad, was the intellectual center of the entire planet. Their progresses and advancements in math and science were astonishing and unmatched (by far) at the time. All of that turned off overnight and the Muslim world you see today was born. This can actually be traced back to basically 2 assholes that effectively used religion to influence how science was taught and viewed and it has not recovered since.
I agree they need to obey the Constitution and our laws, but why do they need to try and integrate?
Take a minute and read through this: http://civilliberty.about.com/od/immigrantsrights/tp/Xenophobia-in-United-States.htm
There seems to be a repeating cycle of Xenophobia in the states. Ohhh no, the Native Americans must die because they are weird and live in tents. Ohhh no, the Chinese immigrants and their culture are going to destroy our society! Ohhh no all of these Japanese Americans are secret spy's and want to kill us! Ohhh no these Irish and Italians are trying to take over!
