Go NORMAN! I love that guy. Got a huge painting of him at home.

And WTF is Villegas doing 5 under for the day? Mickelson fighting to make the cut projected at +8 and he's sitting at +9 with about 4 holes left.

WTH?

David Duval tied for 2nd at +1.

I didn't know he was still playing. I guess he got in the tournament based on some exemption from long ago when he was good?

Duval won a british open I believe. I think that gives him permanent eligibility, don't know though.

I also didn't know he still played.

From what I saw, some this morning about 11 O'Clock EST and later on the webcast, seemed a pretty mild day weather-wise.

Duval started hacking bad towards the end of his round. Jeebus, seems like every time I saw him he was standing in the deep rough like some kind of mountain goat on a hill :)

He held it together OK though.

It's not permanent, it's 10 years. As he won in 2001 he's still got a few years left. He lost several years with vertigo and then another staying at home helping his wife through a difficult and dangerous pregnancy. He's been playing a little more this year, but mostly is battling rust from the long layoff and hasn't had good results. But he claims he's getting better week by week and this week shows that he's not too far off form.

His irons used to be like throwing darts so it be good to see him get back into form.

I noticed Duval's gained a ton of weight.

When he was playing really well he was fatty. Then he got on some kicked, got all buffed up and sucked at golf.

He plays better when he's chunky :)
