... You defend the Christmas tree but no where in the bible is the Christmas tree mentioned. Nice double standards.

Actually isn't there a bit in the bible that specifically says that you're not allowed to have christmas trees?

I actually understand how dangerous the burka is since there was a terrorist who escaped from England wearing a burka in the airport. When I see the burka I immediately get away from there since I can't see who is under the burka.

Oh I see. Like you would know or recognize the muslim woman if she didn't have a Burka on... My money is on you still running because if you can tell she is a muslim.

And oh the noes, you found a single case of a Burka being used for what you fear so badly. We had some asshat carry one of those bigass crosses on Bourbon street while screaming about his bible in a megaphone actually whack the shit out of someone with said cross. Obviously crosses should be banned too since we can now consider them "weapons", right?

There is more as well. Why are you defending the burka? It would be nice if you were this passionate about Christianity and defending them.

Funny, you were all for the above case because it happens to be the religion YOU believe in but since this is about muslims you are completely against them having the exact same freedom.

I don't defend any religion but I do defend individual liberty. I think you should be free to believe in any fairytale you so desire as should everyone else. I actually completely agree with the Constitution, unlike you.

PS: I am really looking forward to the upcoming war on christmas/winter solstice that should be right around the corner. I am hoping (yet completely against forcing) a bunch of other private companies say "happy holidays" like google did last year. Maybe we can even get your panties really twisted by not allowing some public entity to promote your religion.

I don’t see the cross as a sign of oppression, people are not forced to wear a cross, and it doesn’t demean someone who is wearing it. On other hand in the society of the Burka, women are severly oppressed, they can’t learn, can’t dance, can’t have a job, can’t do anything unless their husband says so. How in the hell is the Burka a positive influence on any society, its not. The Burka has no redeeming qualities the vast majority of women do no choose to wear one they are forced to

Yeah, I don't live in that society and pretty sure that isn't how society is in the UK.

Considering this is about a university I am pretty sure the women are doing things you say the "burka" is supposedly oppressing them of.

We don't make laws banning articles of clothing because of shit that happens in a shithole 3rd world country. Besides, do you really think all of that would change if somehow all burkas worldwide suddenly disappeared? OTOH, we DO have laws preventing said oppression that you are concerned about..... so exactly why do we need to ban an article of clothing again?

There you go making assumptions. If it's not alright for someone to wear a mask then why should the burka be allowed?

The moron should have been more careful with the Cross and maybe face charges/fines but how common is this? It's not.

All I am asking for is consistency. The MSM mocks Christians and tells them to keep it hidden but they have a different standard for Islam. Either mock all religions or none of them.

Why should any UK citizen care what some Muslim woman wears? I thought we let people wear what they want, or at least those who wear revealing clothes say "i wear wot I want, it's my body and my right, innit!!" haha...

So they may hide a bomb? lol.. I think any Muslims who want to bomb us do so since we invade their brethren's countries. It's not a matter more than that. I'd rather the UK renegotiated our position in NATO, and kept all branches (Army, Royal Navy, RAF, etc.) at home for national defence only.

I don't have to say their name because obviously theres only one person in this forum retarded enough to suggest it.

I'm not saying it should be banned just that we should all remember what It really is, a symbol of oppression to women around the world. I see its become fashionable in Europe for some young women but they are toting makeup and manicured finger nails where in the real world of the burka they would be beaten and flogged.
