lol was that a set up? Or is Simon really this big of a douche. Kid has talent for 12 I'm not going to front, I could see Simon stopping an adult in the middle of a song, but a 12 year old? You're not supposed to do that shit.

He ended up doing a great job though.

Exactly. Entertainment industry is sink or swim and there's no reason to baby anyone. Can't handle it? GTFO. Harsh realities are going to hit you in the face sooner or later, so may as well be sooner so you can learn to get over it.

Maybe Simon is a douche, maybe it was a setup, whatever - he sounded a lot better doing the second song. I prefer Susan Boyle though. I respect this kid's talent, I'm just not a fan of his singing style.

It may not be for the right reason, but I like Susan's story better, so that makes her sound better to me. That kid has unlimited possibilities for his future. Susan's closer to death than birth, and it would be nice to see a dream come true for her.

 
So, I agree he should have used the second song, but what was Simon's problem with the first song he chose to sing?
 
Granted the child has a voice but there's no comparison to Susan. I'd rather listen to a mature woman's or man's voice rather than some kid.

I'm willing to bet that Simon (and possibly other judges) had heard tapes/recordings earlier. Or Simon knew what songs the kid had in his arsenal and knew that the 2nd song would be better for him and was expecting him to sing THAT song. Unquestionably the 2nd song was WAY better for the kid.

I still hold firm that Paul Potts from last season was just as good of a story AND he was wy fucking better. He knocked the HELL out of his song. HE made that one judge actually tear up. Hell I get goose bumps listening to his performance.

 
He seems like a great kid and I hope he does really well and wish him the best, but for the actual sound of his voice I didn't enjoy it that much. But he's a kid, and I hope at some point he kicks @ss.
