Well, at least you've qualified your statement.
Mine come in around 200 calories and 21g of sugar. I'm very healthy, and my doc is competent, but thanks for your input
Hey, that's exactly what I'm doing
We have a pretty good smoothie thread here:
With the right texture? Just created a kale, blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry smoothie with some whey protein added and it came out absolutely disgusting. It has the consistency of whipped cream? How do I create a luscious and creamy smoothie without all the foam to eat through? This is...

I went on a long smoothie journey after I bought a Blendtec (I saw it blend a rake and was SOLD lol!) & had a LOT of trouble getting smoothies to taste as yummy as I wanted them to be. Eventually I realized that Jamba Juice literally dumps sugar into their smoothies (sherbet, fruit juices, etc.) which is why they tasted like desserts lol. One of the dirty little secrets of the fruit juice industry is white grape juice, which is often blended up in a variety of juices to get that ultra-sweet dopamine hit our brains are looking for!
Eventually, I improved the flavor of my smoothies & got into thicker smoothie bowls (MORE ROOM FOR TOPPINGS!!). I often use a flavored whey protein powder (vanilla, strawberry, etc.) & usually use frozen mango chunks as a base to get it SUPER creamy without having to rely on the overwhelming flavor of bananas all the time. I also like to mix in either
Greek yogurt or, surprisingly,
frozen cauliflower (makes it REALLY creamy without adding a weird taste to it somehow!). I also bought some hand-carved coconut bowls
off Etsy to add to the experience:
It's been worth the investment because I loooooove smoothies & smoothie bowls, but a loaded bowl in my area costs $14 EACH!
