OK, so we went to Iraq to get the weapons of the country. We didn't find them, so then we decided to go after Saddam and captured him. Now why can't our boys come home??

Last I checked they only joined the coalition because we would have cut off their foreign aid if they hadn't.

Turkey doesn't hate the US as much as most of the other pisasnt sand dunes in that part of the world.

Anyway, you can't bail out of Iraq yet. You've spent a hundred billion give or take to basically take a single man out of office if you do that. I'm aware of the sunk cost fallacy, but until the coalition has tried all reasonable approaches to fixing iraq up a bit it would be a bad idea to leave. If they left now Iraq would be back to its old nonsense in no time, led by somebody else. Except, if they don't have a stranglehold on it like saddamn had then the country may be even worse and more fragmented. You guys started it, you gotta see it through to the end 🙂
