Event Horizon is more like a horror movie...hell, Event Horizon could almost be Warhammer in the deep past...

It's hard for brand new series to get traction. I think the REAL problem is apparently TV execs don't like science fiction TV anymore. Maybe it doesn't get enough viewers, I don't know. All I know is that I'm running out of shows to watch. Star Trek, B5, Stargate, Firefly, BSG... I've seen them all.

I'm also not a huge fan of the "dark and edgy" theme that the more recent shows have adopted, but that's maybe just a sign of our times and if things get better we can go back to fun, adventurous stuff. If another sci-fi show ever gets made again. Everything these days is reality TV, sitcoms, medical dramas, and cop dramas.

True, and they're aging fast, those who are left. It wouldn't be the same without G'Kar and the doctor.

Also, he's tried to bring it back a couple of times: Legend of the Rangers, and The Lost Tales. Both sucked donkey balls. Hell, even the spinoff Crusade series sucked bad.

I just want to see new scifi that isn't vampires and teen angst.

B5 is my favorite sci fi series by far, but that said, I think too many characters' actors have died for a comeback with the original cast to be successful.

I think some other events in the B5 universe could be potentially be expanded upon (earth-minbari war / telepath war / previous shadow war comes to mind)

Would be hard to do as humans lost that war very fast and the first shadow war humans were not even in space yet.

TV series should never be brought back. When stuff dies they should put a lid on it and the series fans should just accept that such and such is dead and gone and remember the good times. Something essential is lost when shows are brought back from the dead and they seem to lack the soul that made them so enjoyable in the first place.

I would skin puppies alive for a good, well thought out Sci-fi show again. Making my way through the X-files nostalgia right now.

I just happened to be reading about Charles in Charge on wikipedia and learned that its first season was 84-85 and the 2nd season didn't start until 87. If they can do it Firefly can do it too!
