Bring back 4:3 aspect ratio for smartphones

So I recently got the Note 4 and the thing it too tall for my jeans. This got me to thinking, for smartphones why isn't 4:3 more popular? It makes surfing the web and reading stuff better. The only time 16:9 is better is for movies.

It actually makes web surfing and reading worse, also makes videos worse. Most content is 16:9 now. Since the few 4:3 phones have been dismal failures, don't expect to see any more.

4:3 needs to die, lets stop trying to dig up its corpse.

No, I use the full webpage and 4:3 is better. I also use it in portrait mode not landscape.

So you rather have something that is too wide for your jeans? As the size of the phone increases, dealing with extra length is far easier than dealing with extra width. Or so the ladies tell me. 😉

Having seen and handled the LG Vu, I definitely would not want a 4:3 phone. That thing was so awkward and unwieldy. I guess on a small phone the 4:3 wouldn't be bad, but on bigger phones, no way.
