Brights...

Do people not know the point of bright lights? I've never seen so many idiots as today on the highway coming back home from my apt. One idiot after another blinding me please people learn to drive.

1. Use turn signals
2. No brights
3. Look before your turn

never ever EVER come to Boston then, or MA in general. If I don't get atleast 3 people honking at me in the first 5 minutes of my commute I begin to wonder if its a Saturday or something...

thanks for the info, people honking drive me nuts, but it really doesn't happen much here, except for the occasional courtesy honk if an arrow turns green and the person just gets a little honk, nothing more than that.

i am thinking it is az gun laws because you never what maniac is packing and we see plenty on the news about road rage shootings. keeps everybody in check 🙂

Overall the reason for bad drivers here I'd say is the fact you let kids start driving at 16, well basically at 15 with an adult in the car with them. Then on top of that, all one has to do is pass a very rudimentary writing exam and driving test (My driving test consisted of straight-end parking, quick stop and that's about it...

In Europe(or at least in the Czech Republic), it usually takes 3-6months for someone to acquire a driver's license, and the tests consist of almost every situation you can imagine. Not to mention people learn with sticks and you can't get your license before your 18th bday. [/rant]

i may have seen those runabouts 2-3x at most, and they were in resorts, never with a bunch of traffic, and with maybe 2 lanes, very small ones

in the czech republic you say learn with sticks, do you mean the instructor hits you with a ruler on the hand when you are driving and doing something wrong?

as far as driving, i had to take drivers ed in school since it gave me a break on insurance and i feel it should be mandatory for all. even though i really didn't learn that much, i did learn more than people that did not have to take the class.

Hahahaha ya something like that 😉. But you're right with drivers ed. I suggested it to my sister who wants to start driving, she refuses. I also suggested that she learns back in Czech with my grandparents/cousins over the summer refused that as well...

It will be mandatory as of 2007 but this is just for people under 17. 🙁
