On our family computer, we had a Radeon VE that I just replaced with an FX5600 ultra. For some reason the monitor is really dark when playing BF1942-DC, even with the monitor brightness turned up. The old Radeon had an option to adjust brightness for 3d apps; I turned that up and everything was hunky-dory. However, with the FX5600U, the monitor is still dark, but there is no option for 3d app brightness. There is no brightness control in the game either. What is there to do? I'm using drivers I just downloaded from nvidia's website, 56.something.
